How to Recover from a Failed Bundle Launch (2026)

Updated January 2026 · SolBundler Team

What Causes a Bundle to Fail?

A failed bundle means your token was created but the bundle buy transactions did not execute atomically in the same block. This leaves your token exposed — snipers can buy block 0 or block 1 without competition from your bundle wallets. Understanding why bundles fail is the first step to recovery and prevention.

The most common causes: Jito tip too low for current network congestion, one or more bundle wallets underfunded, bundle transaction too large (too many wallets), or RPC timeout causing the bundle to miss its target block. Each cause has a different recovery approach.

Step 1 — Assess the Damage Immediately

Open Solscan immediately after a suspected bundle failure. Check:

Step 2 — Decide: Abandon or Recover

If snipers hold under 10% of supply total, recovery is possible. If one wallet holds 15%+ of supply, the token is effectively compromised — experienced traders will see this on Bubblemaps and avoid it. In that case, abandoning and relaunching with a corrected setup is often the better choice.

DECISION FRAMEWORK
Sniper holds under 5%Recover — buy more from your wallets
Sniper holds 5-10%Recover possible — needs strong community
Sniper holds 10-15%Risky — consider relaunching
Sniper holds 15%+Abandon — relaunch with fixed setup

Step 3 — Recovery Actions If Proceeding

If you decide to recover the token rather than abandon:

Step 4 — Prevent It Next Time

After recovering or relaunching, fix the root cause. Check wallet balances before every launch — every wallet needs buy amount plus 0.003 SOL for fees. Increase Jito tip — during peak hours use minimum 0.007 SOL tip. Reduce bundle wallet count if using 20+ wallets — large bundles are more prone to size limit failures. Use SolBundler's balance check feature before deploying.

Pro Tips

FAQ

Can I get my SOL back if the bundle fails?
If the token creation failed completely, your SOL is returned minus transaction fees. If the token was created but bundle buys failed, the token creation SOL (0.02 SOL) is not refunded but your bundle wallet SOL remains in those wallets since the buy transactions didn't execute.
How do I know if my bundle succeeded?
Check Solscan for your token address immediately after deployment. If you see multiple buy transactions from different wallets in block 0 or block 1, the bundle succeeded. SolBundler also shows bundle status in the dashboard.
Should I tell my community about the failed bundle?
Yes, if you're proceeding with the token. Transparency builds more trust than silence. Explain what happened technically, show the recovery steps you're taking, and demonstrate that you're committed to the project.
How common are bundle failures?
With proper setup (correct tip, funded wallets), bundle failures are rare — under 5% of launches. The most common cause is launching during extreme network congestion without adjusting the Jito tip upward.
