How to Find a Token Address on Solana

SolBundler Team · Updated November 2026 · 6 min read

Every Solana token is identified by its address — also called the contract address, CA or mint address. Names and tickers can be copied by anyone; the address cannot. That is why you need the address to add a token to your wallet, buy it, or check it before you buy.

Here are six places to find it, from the fastest to the most reliable, and how to make sure the address you copied belongs to the real token.

1. On Pump.fun

Open the coin's page. The address is in the page URL — pump.fun/coin/<address> — and next to the coin's name there is a copy button for the contract address.

Most coins created on Pump.fun have an address that ends in "pump". It is a quick sanity check, not proof: the address still has to match the one the project posts.

2. On DexScreener

Search the token name or ticker and open its chart. In the info panel you will see two addresses: the pair (pool) address and the token address. The one you want is the token address — the pair address belongs to the liquidity pool and will not work in a wallet or a checker.

If the search shows several tokens with the same name, look at liquidity, age and the number of holders before picking one — copycats usually have little of each.

3. On Solscan

Type the name or ticker into Solscan's search and choose the token. The token page — solscan.io/token/<address> — shows the address at the top, along with supply, holders and the mint and freeze authority.

Solscan is also where to confirm an address someone sent you: paste it in, and the page shows the token's name, image and creation date.

4. On Birdeye or Jupiter

Birdeye works like DexScreener: search, open the token, copy the address from the token info. The URL is birdeye.so/token/<address>.

In Jupiter, start a swap and pick the token from the list. Tokens Jupiter has verified carry a check mark, and the address is shown under the token in the selector.

5. In your wallet

If you already hold the token, open it in Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. The token's detail screen has an option to copy its address or open it on a block explorer, where the address is shown.

6. From the project itself

Most projects pin the contract address — usually written as "CA" — in their X bio, Telegram channel or website. This is the source to trust most, as long as you are on the project's real account.

Check it against one of the sites above: the name, image and creation date on Solscan or DexScreener should match what the project shows.

Got the address? Check the launch before you buy

Paste it into a free checker to see which wallets bought in the launch block and how much of the supply they still hold, or to run a quick risk check on the token.

How to make sure it is the real token

  • Anyone can create a token with the same name, ticker and image. The address is the only thing that cannot be copied — so always compare addresses, never names.
  • Do not copy an address from replies, DMs or "support" accounts. Scammers post fake CAs in comment sections of real projects.
  • Compare the first and last 4–6 characters at least. Some scams use addresses that start and end the same way as the real one, so for larger buys compare the whole string.
  • A real Solana address is 32–44 characters of letters and numbers, without 0, O, I or l. Anything that looks like 0x… is an Ethereum-style address and will not work on Solana.

These are the official addresses of tokens you will run into most often. Anything else with the same name is not the real one.

Launching your own token?

When you create a coin on Pump.fun, Bonk or Bags, the address is generated at creation and shown the moment the coin exists — post that address, not just the name, so buyers find the right token. Questions

What is a token address on Solana?

It is the address of the token's mint account — the account that defines the token. Wallets, swaps and checkers use it to identify the token. People also call it the contract address, CA or mint address.

Is the token address the same as the pair address?

No. The pair or pool address belongs to the liquidity pool where the token trades. DexScreener and Birdeye show both; use the token address for wallets, swaps and checkers.

How do I find the address of a token that just launched?

If it launched on Pump.fun, open it on Pump.fun and copy the address from the page or the URL. Brand-new coins can take a few minutes to appear on DexScreener and Birdeye.

Why do two tokens have the same name?

Names and tickers are not unique on Solana. Anyone can launch a coin with the same name, so copycats are common. Only the address identifies the real token.

What can I do with a token address?

Import the token into your wallet, buy or sell it on a swap, look up its holders on Solscan, or paste it into a checker to see who bought at launch and whether the setup looks risky.
