How to Check if a Pump.fun Coin Is Bundled

SolBundler Team · Updated November 2026 · 6 min read

A coin is bundled when its creator buys it from several wallets in the very block it is created. Those wallets get supply at the starting price, before any outside buyer can act — and they can sell it to you later.

The test is simple: who bought in the creation block, how much, and do they still hold it? You can check it by hand on Solscan in a few minutes, or in seconds with a checker.

The fast way

Paste the coin's address into the free Solana Bundle Checker. It lists the wallets that bought in the launch block, the share of supply they bought, and whether they still hold it.

Check it by hand on Solscan

  1. 1Copy the coin's address (the mint) from Pump.fun, DexScreener or the project's X account.
  2. 2Open solscan.io/token/<address> and go to the token's transactions. Sort them from oldest to newest.
  3. 3Find the creation transaction and note its slot (the block number). On Pump.fun the creator's own first buy is usually inside this same transaction — that alone is normal.
  4. 4Look at the next transactions. Buys that share the creation slot happened in the launch block — before any outside buyer could react. Several different wallets there means the launch was bundled.
  5. 5Open each of those wallets. Note how many tokens it bought and whether it still holds them, and look at where its SOL came from just before launch.

Signs a coin is bundled

Several wallets buy in the creation block

The clearest sign. Ordinary traders cannot buy in the same block a coin is created unless they are part of the creator's bundle.

The wallets were funded together

Fresh wallets that received SOL from the same source, minutes before launch, usually belong to one person.

Buy sizes look planned

Similar or neatly stepped amounts from wallets with no other history point to one set of hands.

Supply is concentrated in a cluster

On Bubblemaps the bundle wallets show up connected to each other or to the creator. Many small bubbles can still be one holder.

Bundled is not the same as a rug

Creators often bundle for a plain reason: if they do not buy in the first block, sniper bots will. A bundle that bought a modest share, or has already sold down slowly, is not much of a threat.

The risk is a large share still sitting in the launch wallets. Those tokens were bought at the lowest price on the curve, so selling them is profit for the holder at almost any price you might pay. Check the share they hold now, not just what they bought — and look at the rest of the setup with a rug checker before buying.

Full disclosure: SolBundler also makes a launch tool that bundles. We think buyers should be able to see bundles clearly, which is why the checker is free and needs no account.

Other tools that help

  • Solscan — the raw transactions, for checking anything by hand.
  • Bubblemaps — shows holders as bubbles and draws links between wallets that transferred to each other.
  • Pump.fun and DexScreener holder lists — top holders at a glance, without telling you who bought in the first block.

Questions

What does bundled mean for a meme coin?

It means the creator, or someone working with them, bought the coin from several wallets in the same block it was created, usually through a Jito bundle. They get supply at the starting price before anyone else can buy.

Is a bundled coin always a rug?

No. Many creators buy their own supply at launch so snipers do not take it. What matters is how much the bundle holds now and whether it can dump on buyers. A large share that is still held is the risk to watch.

How much bundled supply is too much?

There is no fixed line, but the bigger the share the launch-block wallets still hold, the more one decision can move the price. If those wallets together hold a large part of the supply, any of them selling will hit the chart hard.

Can a bundle be hidden?

Bundles can be spread over many wallets funded through different routes, which makes Bubblemaps look cleaner. Buying in the creation block is still visible on-chain, which is why checking the first block is the most reliable test.

Does Pump.fun show if a coin is bundled?

Not directly. You can see top holders on the coin page, but not which of them bought in the launch block. Use Solscan by hand or a bundle checker for that.
