Pump.fun API: Every Option in 2026
There is no single "Pump.fun API". There is an official API for reading social data, third-party APIs that trade for you, and Pump's own SDK for building transactions yourself. Which one you need depends on whether you want to read, trade, or launch.
Facts checked against each provider's documentation on November 7, 2026. Fees and limits change, so confirm before you build.
Which one to use
| You want to | Use | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Read profiles, followers, callouts, leaderboards | Official Pump.fun Developer API | Free for approved teams |
| Trade with one HTTP call, no Solana code | PumpPortal Lightning API | 1% per trade |
| Trade, but sign transactions yourself | PumpPortal Local Transaction API | 0.5% per trade |
| Stream new tokens and migrations | PumpPortal Data API (WebSocket) | Free |
| Stream trades on tokens or wallets | PumpPortal Data API with API key | 0.01 SOL per 10,000 messages |
| Trade or launch with no middleman fee | @pump-fun/pump-sdk or the program IDL | Network + protocol fees only |
1. The official Pump.fun Developer API
Pump.fun's own API is read-only. It covers profiles, the follow graph, callouts and replies, PnL leaderboards and creator payouts, and the positions and trades of public wallets: 67 routes over HTTPS, plus an MCP server for AI agents. There are no trading or token-creation endpoints.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL | https://api.pump.fun/v1 |
| Auth | Bearer token in the Authorization header; keys must stay server-side |
| Access | Apply at developers.pump.fun; the key is shown once after approval |
| Price | Free for approved teams |
| Rate limits | 2 requests/second, 120-request burst, 50,000 requests per UTC day |
| Scopes | profiles.read, graph.read, content.read, leaderboards.read, positions.read, moderation.read (on request) |
| Missing scope | HTTP 403 naming the scope you need |

2. PumpPortal (third-party trading and data API)
PumpPortal (pumpportal.fun) is the API most Pump.fun bots are built on. It is not run by Pump.fun. It has two trading APIs and a data stream:
- Lightning Transaction API, 1% per trade. You send one request and PumpPortal builds, signs and sends the transaction from a wallet it manages for your API key. Simple, but that wallet's key sits with a third party.
- Local Transaction API, 0.5% per trade. PumpPortal returns an unsigned transaction; you sign and send it from your own wallet and RPC. Your key never leaves your machine.
- Data API (WebSocket). One connection at
wss://pumpportal.fun/api/data.subscribeNewTokenandsubscribeMigrationare free.subscribeTokenTradeandsubscribeAccountTradeneed an API key with a linked wallet holding at least 0.02 SOL, billed 0.01 SOL per 10,000 messages.
Fees are charged before slippage and come on top of Solana network fees and Pump.fun's own trading fees. Open one WebSocket connection and send all subscriptions over it: clients that open many connections get timed out.
// PumpPortal Data API: new tokens (free)
const ws = new WebSocket("wss://pumpportal.fun/api/data");
ws.onopen = () => ws.send(JSON.stringify({ method: "subscribeNewToken" }));
ws.onmessage = (e) => console.log(JSON.parse(e.data));Other third-party APIs exist (PumpDev, for example, covers Pump.fun and the Pons launchpad on Robinhood Chain). Check who runs a service and how it handles keys before you fund it.
3. Pump's own SDK and the program IDL
To trade or launch without a middleman fee, build the transactions yourself. Pump publishes TypeScript SDKs on npm and the program IDLs on GitHub:
| Package / source | What it covers |
|---|---|
| @pump-fun/pump-sdk | Bonding-curve program: create, buy, sell, creator fees (v4.3.1, October 2026) |
| @pump-fun/pump-swap-sdk | PumpSwap AMM after graduation (v2.2.0, October 2026) |
| github.com/pump-fun/pump-public-docs | IDLs for pump, pump_amm and pump_fees |
npm install @pump-fun/pump-sdk @pump-fun/pump-swap-sdk
Program IDs, instruction discriminators, the buy and sell account lists and every error code are on our Pump.fun program ID reference.
Launching with several wallets
None of these APIs makes a bundled launch simple: you still need to create the coin and buy from several wallets in the same block, which means a Jito bundle (at most 5 transactions) with the tip and slippage set right. If you write it yourself, start with how Jito bundles work and the list of relayers that accept bundles.
Rather not write the code?
SolBundler creates the coin on Pump.fun and buys it from 20+ of your own wallets in the same block, from the browser. Free to sign up; 1% on trades.

Does Pump.fun have an official API?
Yes, but it is read-only. The Pump.fun Developer API at api.pump.fun/v1 gives approved teams profiles, the follow graph, callouts, leaderboards and public wallet positions. It has no endpoints for buying, selling or creating coins.
Is PumpPortal official?
No. PumpPortal is a third-party service that builds and sends Pump.fun transactions for you. It charges 1% per trade on its Lightning API and 0.5% on its Local Transaction API, on top of Pump.fun's own fees.
How do I trade on Pump.fun from code without paying an API fee?
Build the transactions yourself with Pump's SDK (@pump-fun/pump-sdk for the bonding curve, @pump-fun/pump-swap-sdk for PumpSwap) or straight from the program IDL. You only pay Solana network fees and Pump.fun's protocol fees.
How do I get new Pump.fun tokens in real time?
PumpPortal's WebSocket sends new-token and migration events for free; per-token and per-account trade streams need an API key and are billed per message. Alternatively, subscribe to the Pump program's logs through any Solana RPC with WebSocket support.
What is the Pump.fun program ID?
6EF8rrecthR5Dkzon8Nwu78hRvfCKubJ14M5uBEwF6P for the bonding curve, and pAMMBay6oceH9fJKBRHGP5D4bD4sWpmSwMn52FMfXEA for PumpSwap. The full reference with discriminators and accounts is on our Pump.fun program ID page.
