How to Make a Callout on Pump.fun

SolBundler Team · Updated November 2026 · 5 min read

A callout is a post in the Pump.fun app that pushes a coin to everyone who follows you: they get a notification, and the callout lands in the feed. Since August 2026, callers also earn USDC when people trade because of their callouts.

Below: how to post one, how the rewards work as of November 2026, and what to do when the app answers with error 403.

How to post a callout

  1. 1Open the Pump.fun app (or pump.fun) and make sure you are signed in to the account your followers know.
  2. 2Open the coin you want to call out. Check the contract address, not just the ticker: copycat coins with the same name are common.
  3. 3Tap the callout option on the coin page. Pump.fun changes its app often, so the exact label and position of the button can differ between versions.
  4. 4Add a short note on why you are calling it out, if the app offers a text field. Say what you see in the coin; do not promise a price.
  5. 5Post it. Your followers get a notification and the callout shows up in the feed.

How Callout Rewards pay

Pump.fun introduced Callout Rewards on August 13, 2026. Payouts are made daily in USDC to your Pump.fun account and are shared between callers based on the trading their callouts drive. Reports put the budget at about $15 million.

The rules have already changed twice. From October 4, 2026, accounts that post many callouts a day earn less, to cut spam. From the October 10 payout, rewards depend on whether your followers actually make money on the call, and callouts on low-cap coins pay less. Pump.fun has not published the exact formula and says it can change it.

In practice: fewer, better calls on coins with real liquidity earn more than a stream of calls on fresh launches.

Error 403 when creating a callout

A 403 means the server understood the request and refused it. Pump.fun does not publish a list of callout errors, so work through the usual causes in this order:

You are signed out or the session expired

The most common reason for a 403 in any web app. Sign out, sign back in, and try again. On the app, force-close it first.

The app is out of date

Old app versions can call API routes that have changed. Update Pump.fun from the App Store or Google Play and retry.

Your region is blocked

Pump.fun is not available everywhere; for example, it has blocked users in the United Kingdom since late 2024. Features can refuse requests from restricted regions.

A VPN or proxy is flagged

Requests from data-center IPs are often refused. Turn the VPN off (if your region allows it) and try on your normal connection.

Your account is limited

Accounts flagged for spam or rule breaks can lose posting features. Pump.fun also cut rewards for accounts posting many callouts a day in October 2026. If nothing else helps, contact Pump.fun support from the app.

You are using the Developer API

The official Pump.fun Developer API returns 403 when your key lacks the scope a route needs, and the error names the missing scope. Callouts are under content.read.

Calling out your own coin

If you launched the coin, a callout is the fastest way to tell your followers it is live. Say plainly that it is your coin. Buyers check: a coin whose creator bought most of the supply in the launch block shows up immediately in a bundle checker, and an undisclosed dev call loses trust fast.

Planning the launch itself? Start with the Pump.fun launch guide and the launch cost calculator.

Got a callout? Check the coin first

The caller may earn when you trade. Before you buy, see who bought in the launch block and how much of the supply they still hold. Free, no account needed.
